Before arrival and documents
All non-Thai arrivals by air, land or sea must submit the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card within three days including arrival day. Supply passport, travel, accommodation and health information; retain the emailed confirmation. Airside transit without immigration and qualifying crew are exempt. A yellow-fever certificate is required when arriving from or travelling through a declared infected area. Visa-required visitors must obtain an appropriate visa before travel.
Conditions and evidence
Nationality chart effective 15 September 2026 supersedes older exemption/VOA lists. The ordinary-passport inbound chart names South Africa (30 days), Mauritius and Seychelles (15 days), and no other African exemption/VOA nationality. Other African nationals follow the MFA's general visa-required rule. Do not confuse Thai nationals' reciprocal outbound allowances with inbound permission.
